True Blood Season 3 Finale

Hiya folks, been a little while since I've been to the blogging world, but a topic that bored me out of my skull has made a presence and I decided I need to vent before my head explodes. This topic is of course the season finale of HBO's True Blood that premiered last night. This may contain spoilers so continue reading at your own risk, I am not quite sure what I am writing or what I may write.

I love True Blood! I will get that out of the way, but last nights season finale was, let me find a word, Poop. The third seasons pacing was pretty shitty in the first place, but I was really hoping it would all come to head and leave me caring what happened. Surprise Dennis! No we are not going to make an interesting finale! There were certain points that it could have left me excited and going crazy waiting for season 4 but the show kept playing, I was left wondering what the hell they were thinking.

Certain plot lines were just so uninteresting that I found myself playing on my phone waiting for them to end. The story with the vampires and their shenanigans, I enjoyed, even though they should have ended the episode with Bill on the phone sending the assassin to kill Pam. Why the @#$% would you not end it there?! Was the perfect point to end the finale. I also enjoyed Hoyt and Jessica, even though I know where that is going most likely with his mom buying a gun. Hoyt is getting shot! Oh crappy television writing! Hoyt should just be with Jessica and they should live happily ever after. Lafayette and his boytoy and their magic hoodoo has me interested where that is going too. Let Terry be happy too, even though I hate Arlene. Everything else just fell flat to the point I lose consciousness.

Usually Jason Stackhouse amuses me, but as his storyline went on I just couldn't understand why he was doing the stupid things he was doing. Some of them really stupid. And the story with him and the high school kid is just popped in there for no reason every couple episodes. The panther people I could careless about, they didn't make me care and I don't see myself caring. I know they go into this stuff in the books, but feel free to make it watchable television. The girl Jason fell for I find completely unattractive and can't wrap my head around Jason falling in love with her. Shitty personality and ugly come on! I'm not going to even bother looking up any of these characters names cause I hate them so much.

Sam I hate your family! I hate you for being so wishy washy and changing your character every episode. Yes your a drunk and have a secret past, blah blah blah. Get over it. Your brother didn't do anything to shoot him, you were the asshole. Quit being mean to people and than nice again, doesn't make me like you one bit. You and Tara go run off together and fall off a cliff so I don't have to put up with you storylines.

I'm not even going to begin with Tara. As a character I hate her. I hate the way she is to people. She is the queen of wishy washyness, she makes Sam look like a fully functioning member of society. I don't know if its the whining every goddamn frame she is in or what, but my brain can't take it. One second she gets into shit and is crying, blah, blah, blah, lets be mean to people, wait I'm strong, I am over this, wait nope I'm being bitch again. Anyway I hate her character.

Overall I was highly disappointed. I don't even remember what happened as I am writing this that is how non important last nights episode was. I'm sad that it unimpressed me but what the @#$% True Blood! At least I won't be waiting for next season so it will come faster. At least some good shows are on in a week.

Chicago Wizard World 2010

Hello folks! Been a long time since my last blog! Wish I could say I've been slacking off and not dying on the floor somewhere. I decided to take a break from my secret project and website graphic designs to talk about Chicago Wizard World 2010. It was great time! My friend Andy Lane and I ripped up the town! Met a lot of nice people, all of whom didn't swat or shoo us away, so victory! I have photos up on my Facebook that I took with my Droid if you want to check them out and have more on the way.

Thursday was working against us with all of its might but we managed to turn everything around by Friday. Eight hour trip wrecked my body, we were in the wrong hotel like six blocks away, my body was revolting aganist me in more ways than normal all morning long. Stuffed pizza you so yummy, why you try to kill Dennis?! Thank you very much 7-11 for the Gatorade, which replenished my electrolytes, repaired the mornings evacuations performed on the Imperial Cruiser Dennis. I don't even really remember the bad things very much now. Just was stressing in those moments.

We took a cab from our wrong hotel to Chicago Wizard World's preview night. When I got there I had the wrong ticket purchased, that made me not so happy, I got over it eventually. Better than no ticket! We got to take a lot of photos of the Batmobile before they hid it behind curtains the other two days so they could charge three hundred dollars to glimpse it. That dollar price is made up but some of the prices for things were crazy.

I got to meet Art Baltazar! Which was awesome! Nicest guy! I wanted to met him when I was here in 2008 but just never got a chance. His lines extend to the moon and understandably so! Told myself I was meeting him no matter what this year! Sadly for him he got meet us everyday! He was a great sport and we got to hear some great stories from him! He drew me a wonderful Harley Quinn and Batgirl picture! I cherish it! Along with like four others! They are my new babies gonna hang them up and smile at them. Will post them all soon. Maybe I'll create my own little poster with them!

There were a lot of amazing costumes this year! Zombie Hulk, Moon Knight, Deadpool, Harley Quinns (Every little teen girl comes as Harley Quinn), Jokers, Bebop and Rocksteady, X Men, Red Hood, Wonder Woman, Power Girl, Superman, Iron Man and War Machine, Stormtroopers and many others! I do believe I saw the Old Spice guy getting chummy with super peeps. Really wish I had my costumes done. Hulk Sad.

Friday was amazingly fun day that included shopping, photo ops, and awesomeness! I got to meet J. Scott Campbell! I learned a lot of how I draw today from him, so it was really big for me to meet him. Its always so strange to meet the people who have impacted your life in some way. You try to always think of something cool to say, to not low talk, or stutter and than you vomit some ridiculous thing out of your mouth. "Dounts have pretty awesome holes." I grabbed his new Fairy Tales calendar, which I missed last years, and three sketch books, a sweet Black Cat print and Alice in Wonderland print from last years calendar. Got everything signed by him and the Alice print by the colorist too. Was pretty neat. Had Andy stop back and get some Gen 13 comics signed. Was one of my personal favorites as a kid. MMMMM Fairchild. I love me some redheads.

Also on Friday we meet Michael Golden and watched him free draw a sweet Batman profile for a fan and got our awesome Power Girl prints signed. Its really fun to watch real artists draw. Maybe someday my skills will get that good, in like 45 years. Give or take. Spectacular artist. Check him out.

We met with poor Adrianne Curry and Crystal Louthan all three days of the con minus Thursday. I will say they were two of the most beautiful and nicest girls I've ever had the pleasure of meeting. Besides my wonderful girlfriend reading this of course! Andy got pictures of each, each day. Adrianne was wearing some awesome sci-fi/comic cosplay costumes each day. Mr. Knight you are a lucky man! First day was a Star Wars Imperial Officer, Saturday, Slave Leia, and Sunday, Leloo from Fifth Element. Sigh.

Saturday night went to the Mafia II Release Party! It was sponsored by Dr. Pepper and Venom Energy drink so I drank free all night. Sucks eating medicines all day to be alive. We dressed up for the masquerade ball in the closest thing we had to Mafia suits, sadly we were told Mario and Luigi costumes were inappropriate. Got lots of free loots and goodies! But best thing was all the great people we met and hung out with. Adrianne Curry, Art Baltazar, Jimmy!, the Soup Nazi, Boba Fett. Was a wild and interesting night, never gonna get to experience something like we did again, well until next Comic Con.

All I wanted to do well I was down at the party since it was my birthday was to talk to Adrianne Curry about WoW. Such a silly goal! But Queen Geek that is best Top Model, that loves Star Wars, WoW, NiN and dressing up how could I not try to talk to her. If I could do that I was done for the day. Andy spotted Ms. Curry and her husband and we went to talk to them and I somehow got stuck in a action pose photo shoot with her, which I will post soon, was so freaking cool! After that she had left and my chance I thought was gone. We went up stairs to the bar and found Art Baltazar and Jimmy and talked with them awhile. Jimmy is awesome! Great guy, fun stories, just great to talk too! After that we headed back down stairs to the party. They had roped off a VIP section for the celebrities, which I decided to cross when I saw miss Curry sitting at a table on the other side. Success! I got my birthday wish! Andy and I talked to Ms. Curry about WoW, Star Wars new MMO, and NiN. It was great! Such a nice girl! I look forward to playing Star Wars: The Old Republic with her next year! I got to take pictures of and get pictures taken with the First and Best Top Model EVER! Geeking!

We partied in between the lobby and Mafia party after that, bouncing back and forth like a ping pong ball. We ran into the "Soup Nazi" upstairs in the lobby. He may or may not have been drinking. Got to hear some neat stories about his college theater years. Its so cool to see that everyone is just a normal person. Watched Boba Fett call out and talk smack to his girlfriend. Was hilarious. I was dying. She did finally go upstairs with him but stormed off an hour or so later looking not impressed. "I didn't mean it baby" Got to watch Kevin Nash use some lady as a crutch to keep him up from his drinking shenanigan. And a silly fight between big tough douche guy vs silly drunken gay comic nerds. That pretty much killed the night for all the lobby lizards about 330ish.

Got so much stuff that needs framing! Between Art's amazing drawings he did for me and amazing prints I picked up. Filled back up my stack of trades to read and filled in a lot of gaps in comic collection of stuff I just could not find in this dead end town that is comic bookless. Oh somebody is gonna loot my home when I die! So much nerding was done the last four days, between gawking at celebrities and looting comic stores my body is still just trying to recover.

Someday maybe I'll get a chance to visit Chicago and not just the conventions. That is actually probably a lie. If comic books are somewhere in the city limits that is probably where I'll end up. Follow your nose!

"B" All You Can Be!

Continuing my series of getting to know me better blogs, brings us to the letter "B". I thought "A" was bad, "B" is a thousand times worse. Just off the top of my head I could be here all night. So I guess I'll start off with something simple and awesome! Buzz E. Kat.

Buzz E. Kat is simply the greatest cat to ever exist! He is an inbred long haired coon barn cat with a heart of gold. Every time I don't think he can get any cuter, he proves me wrong. Buzz has mitts. Mitts you may ask. Buzz has thumbs! And not just any thumbs, thumbs he actually uses to grab things! It's hilarious to watch. He also feels the urge to sit on my shoulder and groom me. Don't ask. Well you can ask, but you may not want find out what sick things are going on in my home. Little Buzz makes my life just a little bit more awesome than it already is. If you want pics of his cuteness just text or poke me. Someday I'll write a whole blog about the Brothers Uzz.

I already told myself I would not write about this next favorite in a derogatory fashion. So I shall make it short and sweet. Two of my favorite things on women start with "B"s.God bless the female form.  :)

Okay now that is out of the way. Can't have myself sounding like a complete scumbag. Television shows. This is simple and of course starts with Buffy The Vampire Slayer. I love Sarah Michelle Gellar! She is my favorite slayer of the undead and supernatural. I only watched Buffy up to season five on television but fixed that when it came out on DVD. I've had my crush on vampires since most of these wannabes vamp lovers even knew what a vampire was. Makes me sad to think that some of these children's first brush with vamps is sparkling emo kids written by someone that writes as bad as I do.

Next Big Bang Theory of course. It is a show that is specifically written for me. I love how the show mixes everything geek and makes it come off cool even to people who are not part of this culture. Sheldon is of course everyone's favorite as well as mine. How can he not be? He is a terrifically written character. I love pointing out all the geeky things around the episodes that I have and love. Of course Heather does not care for me to do that as I have a tendency to name everything down to issue numbers and dates of release. Whatcha gonna do.

This next one covers a lot of different subjects. Batman! Batman has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. No matter the era or where I was in the world, Batman has always been there. Movies, television, toys, video games and comics.

Wait till I get to Damien Wayne.

I worship the old 1960s Batman TV show. It is my earliest memory of the bat. Everyday I could not wait to see who was gonna be the villain and if Batman and Robin would escape whatever evil trap had been laid. I am still waiting for the television shows release on DVD. The 1966 movie is so campy and great! I'm going to have it signed by West and Ward in August!

The 1988, Batman movie is still one of my favorite movies. Jack Nicholson as the Joker had me walking around like the Joker for years to come and started off an obsession with the Clown Prince of Crime that may have not been very health. But that is a entirely different subject. Burton's two Batman films are up there in my childhood favorites. They both hold a special place in my heart. Catwoman may have started some very bad fetishes in me. Too much information!

The early 90's lead to Batman: The Animated Series, which is the greatest superhero cartoon to ever be made. You can't argue that, it simply is. It lead into main spin-offs all of which have always been of the higest caliber. I suggest you pick them all up on DVD or Blue-ray. Batman comic books are always on my buy list. I purchase every single other Batverse comic and now three more are coming out. Sigh. Arkham Asylum is also the best superhero video game ever made.

I could write a whole blog about Batman and may well do so at some point. Too much subject matter to fit here. So Birds of Prey is back! Written of course by Gail Simone! I'll rant of my love for her in the "G"s. But if you are ever filled with boredom, head to your local comic store and pick it up. It's such a fun read. And while you are at it grab the trades for the original series too. Also Brightest Day is going on and has me still guessing as to where it is leading me. I'm going to be starting reviews of individual issues soon.

Musically in the "B"s, Brand New is in my top five bands of all time. I would drive anywhere to watch them perform. I also enjoy the Blood Brothers, Birthday Massacre, Bright Eyes, Billy Talent and a awesome little known band Blindside. Blindside is magnificent.

I'll add to this blog when more comes to my brain but I am starting to trail off. I could write separate blogs for most of these topics and I feel bad not giving everything all the attention it deserves.

Boy Dies Using Cell Phone

Heading for bed seems like such a good idea right now, but my cell is going off the hook! And well I was answering a message a subject struck my brain! Cell Phones! Who doesn't have a cell phone? Nobody! I'm pretty sure when babies pop outta the womb one gets slapped in their hand. I remember a time I told myself, no I refused to have a cell phone! Now I have given in and I have no freaking clue what I would do without it. I wouldn't be able to find my toilet without my built in GPS! Which is probably why my dog keeps licking my carpet.

What I actually wanted to mention about cell phones is the fact that even though everyone has one, nobody seems to have the ability to answer you back. Sure there are the rare occasions you are busy, at work or fighting ninjas on a bus and have to grab the wheel and steer it to safety. But I don't think I've ever seen so many people cling to a device like their cell phone. I check mine every thirty seconds on the dot and everyone else and the room is texting, social networking, or looking at porn right along with me!

So why is it when I text somebody do I not get a response for two to three days! Not minutes, not hours mind you! Days! I know I am not the nicest person to talk too, but come on! And its not just me. It happens to everybody. You all have some relative, some friend, some significant other that does this to you. You send a email saying "Hey, you want to go to the movies at six? Get back to me as soon as possible" I get a text next Tuesday "Sorry man, I am busy tonight, later!" Busy? Tonight?! I asked you a week ago!
You want to know why?! Because even though we have the ability to communicate with people anywhere on the planet, people still just don't like to be confronted, have to give a yes or no answer, or talk to people you only want to be your Facebook friend so you have more friends. And you know what that sucks! It sucks for me, it sucks for you and it sucks for that baby that was given a cell phone at the begin of this blog.

I guess my final statement is next time someone texts or calls you and you decide your not gonna answer, think about what your doing and who you are hurting. Be glad you have those people in your life and that some cares to take the time out of their day to communicate with you. You may be busy but it takes three minutes at tops to send a message, twenty seconds for us that don't suck and have Droids. So please man up, have some balls (or for you ladies, ovaries) and talk to each other!

Scott Pilgrims Finest Hour

I don't know who else is excited about the movie Scott Pilgrim vs the World, but I can hardly wait?! It's directed by Edgar Wright who did Shawn of the Dead and stars Mr. Michael Cera. Sadly enough August 13th is still a bit too far away for my liking so I am attempting to fill it with reading. I have this obligation to support the Arrested Development cast in all their endeavours. Even if poor Will Arnett can't find something as fantastic as the magician Gob, I guess I will suffer through it. He will find a place that uses his talents correctly someday.

Anyhow if you are interest in said movie you should check out the six Scott Pilgrim books! I am only up to book three cause I am a slack ass. Book six, Scott Pilgrims Finest Hour was just released this week from Oni Press and concludes the series. There is a nice interview with the series creator Bryan Lee O'Malley's at Hero Complex. If you haven't checked books out or your one of those I have to read it before I watch it people check out my link at the bottom of the blog. Testing the new link thingamajig out.

Scott Pilgrim, Vol. 1: Scott Pilgrim's Precious Little Life
Scott Pilgrim, Vol. 2: Scott Pilgrim Versus The World (v. 2)
Scott Pilgrim, Vol. 3: Scott Pilgrim & the Infinite Sadness (v. 3)
Scott Pilgrim, Vol 4: Scott Pilgrim Gets It Together
Scott Pilgrim Volume 5: Scott Pilgrim vs The Universe
Scott Pilgrim Volume 6: Scott Pilgrim's Finest Hour

Animaniacs on the attack!

Laying in the shower eating a cinnamon roll this morning I was thinking about something that is missing. That missing thing? Quality cartoons! I cry to myself that I wish all these super hero movies were out when I was a wee one, but if I had to deal with the crap that is on or not on in most cases I would not be nearly as awesome as I am now. A watched the crap out of cartoons. There are the few exceptions that do not suck, Spongebob, Fairly Oddparents, and the random DC hero cartoons that spring up every once in a while.

Have you ever awaken on a Saturday morning and turned on your guide channel to see what is on? Most times, nothing, if you are super lucky an infomerical on how to get bigger breasts. We wonder why our children are getting stupider and growing up way to fast, it is because we have taken away an important part of childhood. Adult televesion has become the norm for them to watch. Swearing, violence and sex are everywhere you turn. Oh no! Our thirteen old daughter is banging! Then quit letting them watch episodes of Jersey Shore!

Back to the subject of this blog, the Animaniacs. Wacky, Yacko, and Dot were a permanent fixture in my home until the show went off the air. I still watch it on DVD. I got home everyday from school so excited to watch Tiny Toons, Animaniacs, Freakazoid and Batman. It was a simpler time. It was one of those rare cartoons that mixed the old zaniness of the Looney Toons but also had hidden adult humor. There are so many little things I never noticed when I was younger on there. Where did all of our cartoon characters go? Cartoon Network and Boomrang of course. But that is not a good enough solution.

Things have changed, they always do, but really this sucks. Marketing to children has always been a staple of cartoons. I'd see a commerical for a cool new toy and I was sold. Now your eight year old wants an iPod, cell phone and designer jeans to make them look sexy. So my solution?! Bring back saturday morning cartoons, first, after school cartoons second! Then when that happens wake up with your children and watch cartoons with them, see what they are watching, what is being forced into their small brains!

This actually went a complete different way than I planned. I was gonna actually write about old cartoons I enjoy and ended up on a rant. Well, next time I'll write about the awesome cartoons of old.

Geoff Johns why do you forsake me?!

I just read that I could have won lunch with Geoff Johns at the SDCC on eBay!!! That would be one item off my bucket list! WTF!!! I would have decided upon Fruit Loops for lunch or maybe a variety of fine cereals! $696.00 dollars?! That is all?! I would pay at least a grand! I wish I was in San Diego...and Pittsburgh :)

Heather Liver Transplant...

One organ transplant! AH AH AH!
Stuffing tacos in my belly to get me sleepy I thought might work sadly I am still awake. This morning I was woken up by my girlfriend to spend a couple minutes with her before she left me for a still unspecified amount of time. I wish I would have woken up earlier. She was leaving for Pittsburgh, PA for surgery tomorrow morning. I don't know a lot of details and I have a tendency to worry about things when there is no exact plan. Plans make the day go around!

A couple months ago, Heather, my girlfriend, read an article in the Buffalo newspaper about a man whose wife was dying from a rare liver condition and who was seeking anyone to help. Heather being the person she is decided what the hell. She called the numbers, got the info, went through with the million phone calls, and finally headed down to The Pitt for two days of testing.

A couple weeks passed, she got a phone call from the hospital telling her she was a perfect match and that she passed all the tests. Even the mental ones, sigh, who knows who slipped up there. But now she is there awaiting to be flayed open. She just went through pre-op this afternoon and tomorrow she will go through the nine hour surgery. I know everything will be fine, but I feel terrible for not being there. Which really is not my fault at all! But still I should have gotten pisser and gotten answers.

So now it's just me and my furry boys waiting for any information and hoping for the best for both patients. Its gonna be a long week or two without her. If anyone actually read all of this please keep her in your prayers or for you other crazy religions in your damnation's, or ramblings. I love you, baby! Your my Wonder Woman!

Front Magazine why you so far behind!

I love being American! I love my freedoms! I love all the dirty things I can do behind closed doors! I love knowing for the most part some dumb person wearing a towel on their head is not going to decide to explode well I'm eating my Tendercrisp sandwich cause their God is better than my God! But one thing that does not make me frown is that one of two magazines I follow is three months behind here in the good old United States. Front Magazine how can you do this to me?! I have to drive an hour every month to find you! Pay ten dollars and find that I'm still two issues behind! I've been reading you for over two and half years and have loyally followed! I have spread the word of your most excellent magazine and still you mock me by making me know that I am behind two months. It makes me want to move to England just to be closer to you! You finally have subscriptions, but dropping $114.00 at one time for a magazine hurts my brain. Would it be worth it to be not two months behind?! People check out http://www.frontarmy.com/ its the official website of Front Magazine! You can grab copies at your local Borders. Its awesome and I don't think I should be the only person enjoying such awesome! Do it now!

WoW, you sexy beast!

I miss it. I dream about it in my sleep. I sit there watching my friends faces flap with useless words spewing forth wondering what new developments are happening there. I speak of World of Warcraft, Blizzard Entertainment's addictive MMORPG (Mass Multiplayer Online Roleplaying Game). It is a horrible, disgusting game that I secretly still love! Even though its PvP (Player Vs. Player) system is one of the crappiest ever built. If you don't mind a gear not skill based system and everyone looking the same and having the same shit fine, more power to you!

I started playing when it first came out and couldn't stop for anything. Soon like a plague everyone around me joined me in my sick fantasy world. I was a sexy human warlock whose felhunter would eat you alive while I cursed and @#$%ed you up with my shadow/destruction build. Magnhun, that was my felhunter! Even a year after quitting I remember every bit of information I learned. My friends quit for various reasons, time constrains, having families or just the simple fact that they couldn't have lives of their own and play this game. Which made it easier for me to quit over time.

The game does consume you. It becomes who you are. You talk to normal people who have never heard of the game like you would your guildmates. Befuddled they think you are out of your mind and will do anything to escape said conversation. You pop your iPod out every time you see a hot girl to show how awesome your paladin is in the Armory. I still have a few friends who play who try to coax me back in or make it sound like a good idea to return. But I know once it happens, it will take forever to escape again. They talk to me about it cause I'm one of those rare people that they know that know what they are saying.

I ran a guild of over three hundred people and it became a chore or even work to go on and play. I made some awesome friends along the way from around the world. People who had never met me in person but treated me better than most I have met. I went to the original Blizzcon like an uber geek, got my Murky and met the California side of my guild. Mr. Buttersworth I still miss you! ZAY! In Detroit I met one of my favorite people in the world, Ming! My favorite warrior with a heart of gold and @#$% just as hard.

Overall right now I don't know if I will go back. I invested so much time in my characters. I loved them. Only Harlena made it to 80. I still have 5 or 6 hovering between 70-79. When everything was so dumbed down for the newbs I had to quit. That was my breaking point. Something I worked so hard to get, new losers could start a new account and have in a weeks time. We shall see when the expansion comes out whether I give in to the devil... Goblins! I love goblins....

Warped Tour Awesomeness...

Yesterday July 14th I spent the day at Darien Center, New York at the 2010 Vans Warped Tour. I've been meaning to go for the last ten years and decided to partake suddenly on the Friday before. The journey up there with one of my good friends was uneventful. I laughed at some teenagers who all ran into each other causing a four car accident. Nobody was hurt so it's okay to laugh. I think. They were half a mile from the concert. Just more proof that kids are getting dumber. We were well supplied up by my wonderful girlfriend who made us sandwiches, suncreened me up and packed us plenty waters and treats. We parked outside the park at a local house to avoid getting out later in the evening.

We grabbed our sandwiches and made our way to the park. Turkey sandwiches were delicious! Really very satisfying.  The walk was not too long. Was a nice little jaunt. Luckily we didn't bring food or water to bring in as the security was taking it all. I pulled my Droid out of my pocket before I was to be searched and they just let me in with out searching. Yet Tom was searched. Apparently I am not dangerous looking. Of course when we entered into the concert grounds it was sensory overload! So much going on! The tickets said the shows began at 12:00pm. Lies! Bands actually went on at 11:00am and we ended up missing a couple bands.

So started our quest to find a band listing so we could create a game plan for the day. We decided to make a circle around the show. We stopped and watched Hey, Monday play a song and continued on. I always hate buying merchandise early at a show as I end up carrying it the rest of the day and it was gonna be a really long day! So we just looked, no buy! Finally we found a schedule and created a semi plan for the day. I had one band I really cared about seeing for the day and that was Alkaline Trio!

We watched Andrew W.K put on an awesome show! He is hilarious! He really just loves partying hard! All I wanted to do was party hard! Even with my horribly injured back he made it sound like it was what I should be doing. After that we headed back up the hill to check out the other merch tents. When I heard something that made my ears oh so happy that I just had to follow. That lead me to Enter Shikari. Quite a excellent little band. I highly suggest you check them out! Kinda of music I would want on well I pummeled someones face. Strolling back to the tents we found out Alkaline Trio were signing at 3:27 and that was official my main plan for the day.

Next we went to watch Motion City Soundtrack. I love Motion City Soundtrack! I've seen them two other times in concert and they never disappoint me. They always sound great! And Jeese Johnson rocks his keyboard like no other! He is great to watch. Their last CD is fantastic and I suggest everyone check it out. Kinda depressing but what isn't now days. Sadly Motion Cities signing at the Trojan condom tent was at the same time as Trio's. Off we went to check to see if there was a line starting for the signing.

Luckily we did because a line had formed! Was only about twenty, twenty-five people. Could have been a lot worse. So began the hour and twenty-five minute wait in line. If I would have know they were signing I would have brought my favorite CD, Good Mourning. Instead I picked up a vinyl copy of their new album, Addiction. I was so excited! I don't get excited about too much. Wonka candy vendors kept me on my sugar high well we waited standing in line. When we finally got to the front of the line my brain shut off. Dan Andriano told me to keep the line moving as I had blanked out and had ceased moving. He signed my record. Matt Skiba told me he loved my shirt and signed my album. I told him "thank you for making music for me to get wasted too and hurt myself". Next I had Derek Grant sign it and my grand signing was complete. I asked Mr. Skiba if I could take a picture and took a quick picture. I was on top of the world! Where to next I wondered as nothing else was gonna top this....

We headed down to the Glamour Kills stage to watch Ace Enders or I Can Make A Mess Like Nobody Else. We sat down in the box seats in the stadium and ate some of my stash of Wonka Candies. The set was enjoyable. He ended it with Ever So Sweet from his days with Early November. Was nice to relax after roaming about for all those hours in the sun. Made sure to fill up our $4.00 water bottles! Outsmarted you crazy expensive liquids vendors! We roamed the merch area for awhile when we got up, stopped and watched some random bands that names escape my brain at the moment. Tom got some of his CDs signed and fell in love with a girl named Becca.

Next on my list was Kelsey and the Chaos and Every Time I Die. Both were right between each other and I ended up missing all of Every Time I Die. By this time of day the sun was beating down upon my dome. My sunscreen was starting to give out. Kelsey and the Chaos amused me and were hanging out next to the stage after their show. I had got my CD signed by Kelsey Merritt the lead vocalist and Tyler Lyons, guitarist. I also got pictures with them. They were both nice kids. Tom talked with Corey DeVincenzo, bassist, for a second, but he was in a hurry to get a shower. Understandable. Check them out at http://www.kelseyandthechaos.com/ or add them as a friend at Facebook.

Tom went to the acoustic performance of his new woman, Becca during Kelsey and the Chaos. Afterwards we went and got her to sign his CD and take a picture with him. Bottle refill time was next. Then the mighty, great Alkaline Trio went on! It was great! We had a excellent view of the stage. Two silly children passed out in the crowd. If its 90 degrees outside kiddies drink liquids, eat food! You will pass out if you don't you @#$%s. Not taking care of yourselves because you want to be cool at a concert is freaking stupid! They had to stop playing for the second girl because nobody wanted to help her. Was she in the pit with no friends?! Interesting. Anyhoo, the Trio played my favorite song Emma, out of eight records worth of music they could have played so that was the @#$%ing awesome. It was @#$%ing great! One more band crossed off my list of ones I wanted to see live.

"A" Little Bit About Me

I decided I would write a little bit about myself on here every once in a while and why not start with the first letter of the alphabet "A". I thought this would end up being hard, then I remember I have like eight million hobbies and likes. God forbid I started writing my dislikes. So I guess I'll start with some of my television programming of old. I guess I don't watch new things that start with "A".

Alias was and is still one of my favorite shows. Sadly I couldn't get anyone to watch it so I could talk about it and poof it went off the air. I love Jennifer Garner! Each week she dressed up in different sexy outfits and wigs! I would have fine if that's all it was about! Then there was the great and mighty Arrested Development. I still find myself popping in a random disc and watching till its over to this day. It was the best comedy to be on and sadly nobody watched it till it was gone. Ive forced it upon all my friends. Buying seasons for them for birthdays and Christmases. Hopefully it does return for one last hooray in movie format. Another favorite was Angel. I only started watching it cause it was a spin off of Buffy at the time, but did grow to love it over time. Mmmmmmm Jennifer Garner........I guess I should have used Jen pic for "J", well guess I have a reason to post another now. LOL.

Movie wise I have a special place in my heart for Aliens. And even though the other movies are nowhere near as awesome as the second film, I did still enjoy them. My friend Nathan and I spent a good portion of 6th to 8th grade reveling in the world of those xenomorphes. I have a huge collection of action figures based on them, including Drop ships and Predators. I know I sure the hell would not @#$% with such creatures. Maybe they will make a good Aliens Vs. Predator someday, well before I'm dead maybe. Alice In Wonderland, the original, not the Tim Burton mess. I have a large collection of Alice merch that I have accumulated over the years of searching Disney stores and Parks. And A Scanner Darkly is a very fun film. Downey and Reeves?! How can you go wrong?!

Comic Books. While I guess the best place to start would be the Amazing Spider Man. I have a very large collection of Mr. Peter Parker starting back to when I was a child. I love that it comes out three times a month. It is consistently one of the most enjoyable reads of my month. Plus without having those eight million other Spider Man comics, the storylines don't get all jumbled and crappy. The Avengers is finally back, that is nice. It has changed into so many other titles in the last couple years. I loved the Avengers: The Initiative it was one of my favorites during the "Civil-Siege" Era. It took characters I didn't know or B-Lister's and made them into characters I wanted to know about. Now Avengers Academy has taken its place and from the first issue I am IN! I want to see where its gonna go and where they are going. I also read Action Comics and Adventure Comics, mainly part of my Superman intake. One of my favorites was Agent X from Marvel. It was a enjoyable time! It was written by the wonderful Gail Simone! If you can find back issues or trades check it out! Taskmaster eating pudding! Back before the great Deadpool ridiculousness!

Music - I do love AFI. Have every cd. Saw them in concert earlier this year, was @#$%ing amazing! Nothing better than a small venue. Alkaline Trio. Going to see them tomorrow actually. I used to listen to a lot more music but its become quite a crap filled industry over the past couple years. I have my favorites and just stick with them. I also like Apes! They are very much like people. I wish I had an ape. Sigh.

Ghost Recon Why Do you Make me sad...

Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Future Soldier has been been push back again. Was already pushed back to February of 2011, now another month has been tacked on making it March of 2011. Ubisoft claims no more delays will be tolerated, so we shall see how that works. Hopefully that doesn't mean a crappy product being released. From what I saw at E3 I could not believe how excellent it looked. I look very much forward to sneaking about in my stealth camouflage popping off the the future enemies of my country with some sweet ass guns. Now the wait to use that pesky beta key from Splinter Cell.

Starro!

Some awesome news from Mattycollector.com, at the San Diego Comic Con they be releasing a Justice League of America, Starro the Conqueror Action Figure. The actual toy packaging will be a replica of The Brave and the Bold issue #28. It includes Starro the Conqueror of course, as well Aquaman, The Flash, Green Lantern, Martian Manhunter, and Wonder Woman. Not only is the packaging freaking awesome, but it also includes lights and sounds! Kevin Conroy (Batman) does the voice for the packaging describing the battle against Starro. I so wish I would be able to go and grab me one of those. Luckily a limited number of them will be available on August 2nd online. Must have!

Inception, Inception, Inception

I remember back when I first saw the preview for Inception earlier this year at the iMax. It stirred something in me that I had not felt in a long time, not since I first saw the trailer for the original Matrix. Excitement! Excitement is something that is very hard for me to feel. Now don't get me wrong I get excited about movies all the time. When I first saw the trailer for the Matrix. My poor brain had to reboot itself after that awesomeness. I didn't know what it was about or anything, all I knew is that I must see this movie! I waited patiently until it came out at the theater getting more and more excited with every trailer I saw. When I finally did see it, I left the theater with my breath just taken away. I tried to explain to people what I saw, what it was about and could do nothing but tell them go see for yourself. I returned to the theater later that night to partake in another viewing. How could this be?! It was just as fantastic as the first time!

Ever since I have waited for another preview to excite me so. Most movies I wait to see I know about ahead of time, have a basic idea of what I am going to see, what I am going to be paying for. Every time I see a trailer for Inception I feel that hope, that feeling I'm going to see something amazing again, something I haven't see before, something to challenge my brain and inspire me. It has an amazing cast and a very interesting premise. So Friday, at the iMax, I am going to lean back and hopefully watch the best movie of this year and leave the theater satisfied like I did after the Matrix. Its a great feeling to watch a movie and just feel, good. It doesn't happen very often sadly enough. If you haven't checked out the previews for Inception, please do. Stream them in hi-def, turn your speakers up and rock it out! You will not be disappointed. Check out the site at inceptionmovie.warnerbros.com/

No Norton For Hulk Smashing...

Okay Marvel. I enjoy your movies, I enjoy your comic books (sometimes), but please stick with these actors if your going to try to have some kind of movie continuity. Mr. Edward Norton is the newest actor to be kicked to the side and be replaced in the Marvel Movie Universe. I enjoyed the last Hulk movie. I was looking forward to Norton being in the Avengers movie but now I have to imagine someone else as the Hulk now.
When actors are replaced in a movie it pisses me the heck off for multiple reasons. First reason its like when your favorite artist or writer is replaced in the comic book world. You read it for them or their art then they are gone and it goes to hell. The new writer decides he wants to change the personality of the characters or if they are a super douche decides to completely undo the last writers story lines. And nothing better when a sub par artist takes over and makes your eyes bleed. Ive seen comics I would have rather had a group of kindergartners draw. I will not mention names.
Second reason, I find nothing more annoying when a uninformed watcher of movies that keeps asking me who the new actor is supposed to be and I have to answer well "that is supposed to be the Hulk but they put a new actor in the role." They then stare at me lost like their brain is summoning all the power in the world trying to figure out what I just said to them. "So that is the Hulk then?" Sigh.
Third reason is it just ruins it for me. I know they changed actors. Who every takes over will most likely do an excellent job but I will still know they are not that character. I know about the change and it will still piss me off. I am probably a bit more Angry about this than normal in that I enjoy Mr. Norton as an actor, and his Banner was enjoyable. I guess we shall wait and see who replaces him so I can shake my head in disapproval for a couple weeks and then finally accept it.

Delayed- Xbox Live Destination Arcade :(

Microsoft's has delayed Xbox Live Destination Arcade to coincide with the release of Xbox Live Summer of Arcade which starts coming out next week. I guess I can live with this as its just a change of appearance. But sometimes its nice to have something to look forward too. Its not much of a big release week so now its just a tad bit more boring. From what I here it will make looking for games, add-ons, and arcade games much easier, so that is definitely something to look forward too. As well as make the interface a little more sleeker and refined.
Destination Arcade will be kicking off with the release of Limbo, which looks pretty creepy and has me very excited! Five titles will be released in all on Xbox Live. Hydro Thunder Hurricane on July 28Th, Castlevania: Harmony of Despair on August 4Th, Monday Night Combat on August 11Th, and finally Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light on August 18Th.
Personally I am most excited about Castlevania! I grew up on Castlevania games on the NES and haven't gotten enough of them yet. Its been years since the awesomeness of Symphony of the Night, not including portable DS versions. Over all they all look like a lot of fun and a change of pace over this ridiculous hot summer!
Also if your feeling like purchasing all of five games over this summer you will receive 1200 Microsoft points back, 400 Microsoft points if only purchase three of them. Getting back points is always a good thing. Now the question is whether to wait for them to go on sale later, which will happen like last years, or purchase them now at 1200 points a pop. Oh decisions.
